SketchUp is the world’s most loved 3D modeling software. And for good reasons.
As a platform for professionals, however, SketchUp is surprisingly underrated, and still mistaken for a hobby tool. We are here to change that.
By plugging in the power of extensions, SketchUp has opportunities to reach more professional levels of use, to extend into new industries, and to grow globally.
We want to drive this growth. We are the Extensioneers Guild.
The Guild is an independent association of professional software developers. The Guild’s accredited members invent, program, and deliver user-friendly extensions that supercharge what industry professionals can do with SketchUp.
We empower users. Our public plugins and custom development services have helped thousands of companies specialize SketchUp, streamline workflows, and achieve demanding business goals.
We turn visions into reality. Every day, architects, designers, and engineers are using our extensions to quickly translate new ideas into understandable 3D models.
We build trust. Together with millions of users, the Extensioneers Guild helps make SketchUp the world’s leading platform for professional 3D concepting, design, and visualization.
You came for the fun. Now stay for the power.

The Extensioneers Guild is an independent association of professionals, and is not affiliated with Trimble. The Guild is registered with Open Collective Europe.
The Guild welcomes new members.
To become an accredited Guild member, you will need to:
The applicant should demonstrate having developed – or having significantly contributed to a team that has developed – one or more SketchUp extensions to high professional standards. Such extensions may be big or small, public or private, open-source or proprietary.
Alternatively, the guild may also accept non-developers, provided that the applicant can demonstrate having in other ways made significant contributions to the SketchUp extension developer community.
The Extensioneers guild is a know-your-members community and does not allow any anonymous members. After an initial inquiry, the applicant will receive a second form to submit full contact details, the name of any associated company or organisation, a brief professional curriculum, and references to one or more SketchUp extensions completed.
The code of conduct outlines the guild's expectations for its members. This includes upholding high professional standards and a constructive dialog on shared business challenges.
The fee currently is 100 Euro per individual member per calendar year. The fee helps fund the guild's operating expenses. The guild's finances are all managed transparently to the public via Open Collective.
The guild will review each application individually. The guild's membership circle is responsible for accrediting new members, and will reach back to you after first contact. The guild welcomes new applications. To get in touch, simply use this website's contact form.
The Extensioneers meet regularly to learn from each other and to speak with other industry professionals. This photograph is from the Sketchup Topcamp 2023 seminar in Lund, Sweden, and features several Guild members.
